BackgroundI am from the Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania, and I graduated from West Chester University with honors in History and Anthropology. In 2011, I moved to Kentucky to join the University of Kentucky’s Anthropology PhD program and study the socio-economic context, the cultural meaning, and the nutritional realities of food. After two successful years in this program and considerable introspection, I decided to change the course of my career by leaving that PhD program in good standing to pursue the new goal of becoming a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist. In 2015, I graduated with honors in Dietetics and Human Nutrition (DHN); in 2016 I completed my dietetic internship in the same department at the University of Kentucky. Life has a fun way of going in circles. In 2018 I re-enrolled in the University of Kentucky's Anthropology program and completed my Masters degree in Applied Anthropology.
